Even though you may have a regular cleaning schedule to clean those everyday items, there may be home items or areas that you are forgetting to clean. Here are a few items in your home that you may need to add to your cleaning routine.

The first items you will want to remember to clean are your reusable shopping bags. These bags can start to smell, can collect stains, and become a home for bacteria and mold. Just remember to wash the fabric grocery bags in the laundry machine or to wipe down the plastic ones every once in a while.

Another item to remember to clean is your toothbrush holder. About once a week you should throw the dirty toothbrush holder into your dishwasher, or sanitize it with hot water and soap.

The last item you will definitely want to clean is your kitchen handles. Again, these handles, such as your oven, refrigerator, freezer, and cabinet handles, can become home to germs and bacteria. So, it’s a good idea to scrub down these kitchen cabinets and appliance handles once a week, or right after touching them with messy hands.

So don’t overlook these items when cleaning, and add them to your cleaning routine to help you and your family to stay healthy.
